OVERVIEW

Surgical Approaches to Upper and Lower Limb is organized by The Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS) and would be held during Oct 24 - 25, 2016 at The Royal College of Surgeons of England, London, England, United Kingdom. The targeted audience for this medical event basically for orthopedic surgeons, ST3-5 and SAS Grades.

The course relies heavily on the use of a large number of excellent prosections, providing benefit to all orthopaedic trainees and particularly to those in the early years of specialist training. This course is designed to enable orthopaedic trainees to gain a thorough understanding of the three dimensional anatomies underlying the common surgical approaches to the upper and lower limb. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 12 CPD points.

Learning Outcomes :

At the end of this course participants should be able to:
. Understand the topographical anatomy underlying various surgical approaches to the upper and lower limb
. Describe the common anatomical orthopaedic surgical approaches in the upper and lower limb
. Recognise structures at risk and describe surgical techniques to avoid damage to these structures
. Demonstrate through discussions that you have acquired the necessary level of anatomical knowledge, to proceed to the safe practice of common orthopaedic surgical approaches under supervision.
