Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) The Sol Shnider, M.D. Obstetric Anesthesia Meeting 2016 is organized by Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology and would be held during Mar 10 - 13, 2016 at Grand Hyatt San Francisco, San Francisco, California, United States Of America. The targeted audience for this medical meeting basically for Physicians.
Welcome to the Sol Shnider, M.D. Obstetric Anesthesia Meeting. This meeting was originally organized by Drs. Hughes and Rosen to honor Dr. Sol Shnider and his important contributions to obstetric anesthesia. The tradition continues with the provision of clinical updates in obstetric anesthesia by the leaders in the specialty. I want to welcome you to the meeting and thank you for your interest. The planning committee and I promise to provide you a superb learning opportunity. I invite you to spend some time with the faculty addressing any questions or concerns. The pre-meeting workshops offer opportunities to learn ultrasound for the care of the patient or to develop a plan for the management of the failed epidural catheter. Whatever opportunities you avail yourself, I can promise that you will leave the meeting with new knowledge and the excitement to apply this knowledge to the clinical situation.
Learning Objectives :
At the conclusion of this learning activity, the participant will be able to:
Adjust their practice to reduce the use of general anesthesia for cesarean delivery
Improve their communication with obstetricians with a better understanding of obstetric practice
Develop a plan for the patient with anticipated hemorrhage at delivery
Decide whether to include anti-fibrinolytics in the management of the patient experiencing hemorrhage
Manage the complications of neuraxial anesthesia
Devise a plan for the management of parturient with severe preeclampsia
Optimize the management of analgesia for labor
Manage the patient undergoing surgery during pregnancy
Use economics to assist them in the management of the labor floor and analgesic service.
