OVERVIEW

Primary Care Issues in Women's Health is organized by Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and would be held during Aug 12 - 13, 2016 at Holiday Inn Memphis-University Of Memphis, Memphis, Tennessee, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is intended to enhance knowledge and improve competency for OB/GYN, family practice, internal medicine physicians, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and other health care professionals who are involved in diagnosing, treating and preventing diseases in the female patient.

The Primary Care Issues in Women’s Health conference is designed as an update and review on issues specifically related to the management of women’s health. Evidencebased lectures will be delivered by academically and clinically oriented faculty and will provide valuable information and insight into situations commonly presented to the primary care physician.

Objectives :

Upon completion of this conference attendees should be able to :
• Describe diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the female patient
• Discuss controversies in Hormone Replacement Therapy
• Review the appropriate contraceptive method for your patients
• Review medico legal issues and how to prevent malpractice litigation in women’s health diseases
• Discuss assessment, evaluation, and treatment modalities related to thyroid nodules
• Evaluate patients with breast disease, review appropriate screening mechanisms, and recognize when to refer
• Outline unique risks and differences in women undergoing heart surgery
• Review updated guidelines for HPV prevention, screening, and treatment
• Review recent diabetes management recommendations, discuss available diabetes treatment options, and develop optimal patient-oriented diabetes treatment decisions in primary care
• Discuss provider burn out, patient dissatisfaction and review evidence that providers can pursue and advocate for high value patient-centered health care
• Describe gender differences in diagnosis, management, and treatment of heart disease

This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 11 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
