Point-of-Care & Critical Care Ultrasound is organized by American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) and would be held during Nov 12 - 13, 2016 at Wake Forest School of Medicine, Winston Salem, North Carolina, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event for general internists, intensivists, hospitalists, pulmonary critical care physicians, anesthesiologists, and emergency physicians, and is directed towards residents, fellows, advance practice providers, and physicians practicing in any of these clinical settings. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

This event uses live models, simulations, and didactic lectures to provide a comprehensive and in-depth look at how and where medical ultrasound can effectively be used in point-of-care and critical care settings.

Attendees will participate in hands-on sessions and lectures that will cover the basics in several areas of medical ultrasound with clinical applications in inpatient, critical care, and emergency settings. These skills will form the foundation for basic cardiopulmonary assessment with point-of-care ultrasound as well as procedural guidance.

Build from the previous day and dive into more in-depth and advanced uses, including advanced cardiopulmonary assessment, screening for abdominal pathology, and screening for deep venous thrombosis (DVT). Day 2 will also feature a lunch-and-learn session that will focus on case challenges and include lively discussions.
