OVERVIEW
Physician Prescribing Course 2016 is organized by University of California, San Diego and would be held during Oct 24 - 26, 2016 at Sheraton Mission Valley San Diego Hotel, San Diego, California, United States Of America. The targeted audience for this medical event basically for Physicians, Healthcare Professionals.
This Course is designed for physicians who confront disciplinary actions from licensing boards over drug prescribing issues, or for those physicians who wish to improve their knowledge of drug pharmacology and prescribing issues.
The Physician Prescribing Course is a two and one-half day small group CME program designed to improve the participant's prescribing behavior by providing education on the legal, biomedical and clinical aspects of prescribing drugs, especially controlled drugs.
This course was designed in response to numerous requests from state medical boards, hospitals, risk management groups and hospital peer review committees to address errors commonly identified in medical prescribing and teach proper prescribing practices. THis CME conference has been approved with 27 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Objectives :
At the end of this CME activity, participants should be able:
- To summarize prescribing practices based on education and illustration
- To interpret and apply the laws pertaining to medical prescribing practices
- To differentiate between and express the legal, biomedical and clinical standards of prescribing drugs.
