COURSE OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of this activity participants will be able to identify, assess and manage common clinical issues in the areas of infectious diseases, orthopaedic surgery & sports medicine, adolescent medicine, complementary and integrative medicine and endocrinology including:

•Accurately assess a child’s growth and development and reassure or refer for sub-specialty care appropriately.
• Cite the epidemiology of common infections acquired during travel and the vaccines and pharmacologic prevention of infections.
• Describe the risk factors, early signs and symptoms and diagnostic criteria for disordered eating.
• Differentiate the multiple etiologies of the child who limps and provide an appropriate “work-up” and therapy.
• Utilize evidence-based resources to decide when to recommend, tolerate, monitor or avoid a complementary therapy
