OVERVIEW
Overview and Update in Travel Medicine 2016 is organized by Monash University and would be held during Sep 8 - 9, 2016 at Monash Conference Centre, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The targeted audience for this medical event basically for GPs, nurses, infectious disease trainees and others providing pre- and/or post-travel healthcare to travellers.
To provide practical guidance on management of travellers before and after travel, with a focus on pre-travel vaccines, management of malaria chemoprophylaxis, and other common travel-associated health issues.
This course will focus on practical management aspects of common pre-travel health care issues. It will include discussion of indications for travel vaccines; management of travellers’ diarrhea and malaria chemoprophylaxis; and aspects of non-infectious issues such as jet lag and altitude medicine. It will also include cases focusing on how to approach the unwell returned traveller.
