Onco-Nephrology Symposium 2016 is organized by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and would be held on Oct 14, 2016 at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, United States Of America. The targeted audience for this medical event are nephrologists, oncologists, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who have an interest in kidney disease or electrolyte complications.

This medical conference 2016 aims at Kidney disease is quite common in patients with cancer. As cancer treatments advance in efficacy and scope, the sequelae upon the kidney and bodily homeostasis become increasingly complex to diagnose and manage. This CME conference has been approved with 6.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Educational Objectives

After participating in the activity, the participant should be able to:
- Diagnose the common renal complications arising from cancer and its treatments (Knowledge, Competence)
- Recognize and treat electrolyte disorders in patients with cancer (Knowledge, Competence, Performance)

- Summarize the controversies in kidney function assessment and ESA use in the setting of cancer (Knowledge, Competence)
- Implement strategies for discussing dialysis at the end-of-life care (Knowledge, Competence, Performance, Patient Outcomes)
