Northern New England Neurological Society (NNENS) Annual Meeting is organized by The University of Vermont and would be held during Oct 28 - 29, 2016 at The Essex, Essex Center, Vermont, United States of America. Objectives :
At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:
• Describe potential treatments for associated comorbidities in patients with epilepsy.
• Assess the role of systems neuroscience in the development of novel therapies for epilepsy.
• Discuss diagnostic difficulties in MS and new diagnostic approaches.
• Describe how animal models in MS inform understanding of clinical disease.
• Discuss the side effects of treatments for myasthenia gravis and how these effects can be quantified. • Compare novel treatments for neuromuscular disease.
• Describe appropriate use of botulinum toxin for neuromuscular disease in children and adults. • Provide an update on new treatments for headache in children and adults.
• Discuss the development and implementation of a telestroke service.
• Become familiar with injection techniques used to deliver botulinum toxin.
• Support ongoing improvement of the regional organization of neurological care in Northern New England.
