Managing Coding and Reimbursement Challenges in Neurosurgery Courses is organized by American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and would be held during Sep 15 - 17, 2016 at Hyatt Regency Washington On Capitol Hill, Washington, Dist Of Col, United States Of America.

The target audience for this medical event are basically for Neurosurgeons, fellows and chief residents, practice managers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, surgery schedulers, coders, billing office staff and other office staff members.

This CME conference has been approved with 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. The goal of the AANS Managing Coding course is to train clinical, professional and administrative staff to use the most up-to-date neurosurgery CPT coding and correctly implement ICD-10-CM to their practice.

Course objectives :
* Describe two major differences between ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes.
* Use relevant ICD-10 chapters and codes common to neurosurgery.
* Describe key potential documentation deficiencies relative to neurosurgery in ICD-10-CM.
* Develop an action plan for ICD-10-CM denials in your practice.
* Identify and apply correct CPT codes to commonly performed spine procedures.
* Identify and apply correct CPT codes to commonly performed cranial procedures.
* Describe the global surgical package including the pre-, intra- and post-operative global period components.
* Monitor practice financial vital signs and discuss strategies for improvement.
* Improve the ability to choose E/M levels of service and code categories.
* Explain when to use the consultation E/M codes.
