Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine is organized by Life Support Technologies group and would be held during Sep 23 - 27, 2016 at Nassau University Medical Center, East Meadow, New York, United States of America.

The Life Support Technologies course for Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine will:

Provide an internationally recognized professional education for all clinicians Meet recently mandated educational requirements by CMS and UHMS for patient supervision Enable clinicians to supervise and bill for Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance Understand the qualifying criteria for hyperbaric treatments based on most recent guidelines Understand the anatomy and physiology of wound healing in a hyperbaric environment Delivered by highly experienced and qualified faculty.

Objectives :
The terminal training objectives of this course are to provide participants enough information to initiate and provide safer hyperbaric oxygen treatment in their own institutions using a monoplace chamber. Additionally, participants will have enough information at hand, including information concerning multiplace operation, to prepare for the certification examination of the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology. Goals :

This course will bridge Hyperbaric Medicine Professional Practice Gaps as follows:
• Instill Hyperbaric Medical knowledge (as demonstrated through practical exercises and by a final written examination) among physicians and allied health professionals.
• Provide physicians with a recognized professional education course that may help them become hospital credentialed to supervise hyperbaric medical activities that take place in their institution(s).
• Empower physicians with knowledge regarding which patients will be good candidates for hyperbaric treatment based on CMS and UHMS guidelines.
