OVERVIEW

ICJR ORTI East Orthopaedic Resident and Fellow Course is organized by International Congress For Joint Reconstruction and would be held during May 5 - 7, 2016 at The Westin Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Of America.

The International Congress for Joint Reconstruction (ICJR) is pleased to present our next Orthopaedic Resident and Fellow course. This course is intended for orthopaedic surgeons who have ample experience in primary arthroplasty and now want to become more proficient in revision procedures.

Objectives
1. Understand the various surgical approaches for hip and knee arthroplasty as well as the pros and cons associated with each approach
2. Learn principles associated with pre-operative planning for THA and TKA and procedures for THA templating
3. Be familiar with component position in THA and TKA and as it pertains to stability and post-operative function
4. Develop an algorithmic approach to evaluating pre-operative and post-operative hip and knee radiographs
5. Understand prevention, diagnosis, evaluation, and management of common complications following THA and TKA (i.e. DVT, peri-prosthetic fracture, and infection)
6. Gain hands-on cadaveric experience in performing primary THA and TKA with faculty guidance
