Frontiers in Upper Extremity Surgery 2016

Frontiers in Upper Extremity Surgery is organized by Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education, Inc (FORE) and would be held during Nov 4 - 5, 2016 at Florida Innovation & Education Labs (FIVE Labs), Tampa, Florida, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event basically for Orthopaedic and plastic surgery trained hand surgeons, general orthopaedic surgeons, fellows, residents, physician assistants, physical therapists, surgical assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare professionals whose scope of practice includes hand and upper extremity surgery. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 13 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

This course provides the practicing hand surgeon with a comprehensive update on treatments for various hand and upper extremity surgery including arthroplasty, reconstruction, fracture care, care of the upper extremity in the pediatric patient, difficult problems in elbow surgery, and shoulder surgery for the hand surgeon. The course format is a mix of lectures, hands-on cadaveric labs, and engaging panel discussions.

Objectives :

• Evaluate surgical and nonsurgical principles of managing common hand and upper extremity problems
• Address common problems and complications associated with distal radius fractures
• Implement enhanced management of fractures, arthritis and congenital problems
• Employ current trends and techniques in microsurgical reconstruction in the upper extremity
• Apply current concepts for total wrist arthroplasty
• Develop strategies for the treatment of the shoulder, including: rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, proximal and distal humerus fractures
