ECHO 2016 - Echocardiography Conference : 18th Annual State-of-the-Art Echo Course, Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, New York, United States of America. The targeted audience for this medical event basically for anesthesiologists, cardiologists, echocardiography technicians, and medical professionals . This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 24.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives are :
* Apply the ASE standard document for quantification of left and right ventricular size and function (systolic and diastolic).
* Estimate myocardial function using standard M-mode and 2-D echocardiography as well as newer modalities such as 3-D echocardiography, and contrast.
* Use echocardiographic and Doppler methods to assess hemodynamics, valvular disease, pericardial disease, and cardiac function.
* Employ qualitative and quantitative measures to describe the severity of valvular heart disease including prosthetic valve disease and apply the current ASE guidelines.
* Restate the current utility of echocardiography in heart failure diagnosis and therapy including the evaluation of ventricular assist devices.
* Use echocardiography (transthoracic and stress echo) in valvular and coronary heart disease including the use of contrast and diastolic stress testing as described in the ASE guidelines.
* Recognize the utility of transesophageal and intracardiac imaging in management decisions for various cardiac abnormalities and in various settings (eg, intensive care unit, interventional lab, operating room) as per new ASE guidelines and consensus statements.
* Explain the complementary use of other imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, and vascular imaging
Recognize the echocardiographic presentation congenital heart disease.
