OVERVIEW

American Society of Emergency Radiology (ASER) Postgraduate Course in Emergency and Trauma Radiology 2016 is organized by American Society of Emergency Radiology and would be held during Sep 14 - 17, 2016 at Hyatt Regency San Francisco, San Francisco, California, United States of America. The target audience for this medical meeting basically for radiology residents preparing for emergency radiology coverage and is an excellent review for all radiologists covering trauma centers.

The 2016 ASER Annual Meeting will provide a broad overview of current state-of-the-art imaging techniques to evaluate the acutely ill and injured patient. This CME conference has been approved with 30.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Meeting goals and learning objectives :

At the conclusion of the course, attendees should be able to:
1. Select the most appropriate imaging approaches to allow prompt assessment of the injured and acutely ill patient.
2. Apply optimal techniques to the acquisition of various imaging examinations commonly used in the emergency setting, maximizing diagnostic potential and considering patient safety.
3. Develop and utilize a systematic approach to the assessment of traumatic injuries and non traumatic acute diseases, from head to toe.
4. Understand the requirements for delivering continuous high quality care in an emergency radiology service.
5. Apply the latest imaging technologies and techniques for the investigation of the acutely ill or unwell patient in the ED (e.g. Dual energy CT, MRI, and trauma whole-body CT).
6. Understand the various staffing models used in a variety of ED settings.
