OVERVIEW

American Psychosocial Oncology Society (APOS) 13th Annual Conference is organized by American Psychosocial Oncology Society (APOS) and would be held during Mar 3 - 5, 2016 at Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina, San Diego, California, United States Of America. The targeted audience for this medical event basically for Psychiatrists, Oncologists. The CME conference has been approved with 22 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.

In this annual meeting, APOS aims to increase adoption and reach of the standard of psychosocial care in oncology by:

- Identifying evidence-based strategies, which may include innovative uses of data and technologies, for improving access to quality psychosocial cancer care, particularly patient navigation, survivorship care, and distress management for underserved and medically vulnerable patients and their families.
- Translating scientific findings into quality whole-patient psychosocial cancer care via collaboration among researchers, practitioners and advocacy groups, with special attention to vulnerable populations across the lifespan including ethnic, racial, and cultural minorities, aging and pediatric U.S. population.
- Identifying practice-based advocacy or policy initiatives that promotes health equity in psychosocial oncology nationally through integrating findings from psychosocial oncology clinical, biological, or biobehavioral research.
- Identifying strategies for strengthening ethnic, racial, and cultural diversity among psychosocial oncology professionals.
