OVERVIEW

AIMS Korea - Thoracic Imaging is organized by European School of Radiology (ESOR) and would be held on Jul 9, 2016 at Lee Kun-Hee Auditorium, Cancer Research Institute, Seoul National University College of Medicine, Jongnogu, Seoul, South Korea.

This course is aimed at participants from Korea, in particular last year residents, board-certified radiologists and fellows interested in thoracic imaging. It is designed to update knowledge on state-of-the-art thoracic imaging, including pattern recognition at CT, quantitative CT, thoracic MRI and hybrid imaging. Special focus is given to detection and evaluation of lung cancer, diffuse interstitial and obstructive pulmonary disease (DILD, COPD) as well as pneumonia.

Learning objectives :
- to refresh knowledge on normal morphology and function of lung and mediastinum as well as typical and atypical patterns of the most frequent diseases
- to become familiar with current best practice indications and imaging findings in screening and classification of lung cancer
- to present an update of current patterns and quantitative approaches to diffuse interstitial and obstructive pulmonary disease
