Advances in Dermatologic Surgery

Advances in Dermatologic Surgery is an educational program designed to give dermatologic surgeons the opportunity to gain knowledge on the latest and most advance techniques of dermatologic surgery. The course includes didactic lectures presented by national experts, live demonstrations plus time for informal sharing of information. Topics include the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, wound closures, reconstructive surgery, advances in injectables and fillers, Mohs surgery, laser treatments for skin conditions, dermatopathology and other related topics.

Course Objectives :

Upon completion of this program participants should be able to:
• refine closure techniques appropriate to a wide range of defects resulting from skin cancer surgery.
• incorporate new laser treatments for more effective treatment of skin conditions. • apply a variety of new flap techniques.
• identify new methods of utilizing dermal fillers and understand how to treat reactions caused by fillers.
• assess wound management after Mohs’ surgery.
• integrate new ideas into everyday practice.
