9th Medication Safety Conference

The 9th Medication Safety Conference will once again build on improving patient safety in the region by focusing on human factors and parenteral medication safety. This highly anticipated event will take place on the 4th – 6th November, 2016 in Abu Dhabi UAE.

The 9th Medication Safety Conference is supported by American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), The International Medication Safety Network (IMSN) and The Institute for Safe Medication Practices Canada & America (ISMP). Based on previous successes, the event will host over 1,200 delegates from the GCC and surrounding regions, including pharmacists, physicians, nurses, students and other healthcare professionals devoted to patient safety and in particular medication safety best practices.

Last year’s 8th installment of the Medication Safety Conference introduced a 'Nursing' session in addition to Medication Safety, Pharmacy Practice and Community Pharmacy streams of the conference. It added exceptional value to the conferences scientific programme and brought a group of worldwide experts and leaders in the field of pharmacy and medication safety to Abu Dhabi. Amongst the respected names was our keynote speaker Dr. Paul Abramowitz, President of the American Society for Health-System Pharmacists, amid many other highly renowned speakers from North America, and the Middle Eastern region.
