8th Annual Conference on Emergencies and Challenges in Pediatrics 2016 is organized by Symposia Medicus and would be held during Dec 16 - 17, 2016 at New York Hilton Midtown, New York, United States of America.
8th Annual Conference on Emergencies and Challenges in Pediatrics focuses on many of the dilemmas facing Pediatric and Emergency health care professionals today. This conference is designed to provide physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses with evidence-based information and approaches to managing many pediatric emergency dilemmas. The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.
Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.

• Recognize the subtle and complicated features of simple pediatric ophthalmologic presentations
• Diagnose the cause of cyanosis in infancy
• Develop a comprehensive plan for the management of asthma
• Develop an algorithm for the treatment of acute and chronic pain that includes opioids, but rarely as a first line therapy
• Discuss appropriate imaging modality for a child with a head injury.
