OVERVIEW
72th Annual Seminar San Antonio Society of Pathologists (SASP) is organized by San Antonio Society of Pathologists(SASP) and would be held on Jan 9, 2016 at Hilton San Antonio Airport Hotel - San Antonio, TX. The target audience for this emdical event basically for Saturday Seminar is expected to consist of Pathologists and trainees. Other pulmonary specialists are welcome. This seminar will cover the important clinical and histologic features and variations for both common and unusual diseases, underlining the most characteristic features. Case presentations will be used to highlight a practical approach to diagnosis. Issues regarding pathogenesis and treatment that are of importance to the Surgical Pathologist will be covered. This medical conference 2016 aims at to refresh the attendee's knowledge and to provide a conceptual framework that will allow the Pathologist to approach pulmonary specimens with confidence.
Objectives:
At the completion of the seminar, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the importance of correlating clinical, radiologic and histopathologic patterns in generating clinically useful diagnoses.
2. Implement a pattern-based approach to lung biopsies.
3. Recognize characteristic diagnostic scenarios useful in the day-to-day practice of pulmonary surgical pathology.
4. Implement the latest classification and staging proposals for lung adenocarcinomas.
5. Navigate the complex world of interstitial lung disease with greater confidence.
