OVERVIEW

57th Congress of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Handchirurgie (DGH) is organized by American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS) would be held during Sep 22 - 24, 2016 at Hessen, Germany. The targeted audience for this medical meeting basically for orthopedist. The main focus areas of this medical conference is micro-surgical reconstruction after severe hand injuries and thumb reconstruction, as well as the treatment of malignant tumors of the hand and forearm.

In the scientific program, which has been put together by R. Giunta MD, PhD from Munich, and M. Neumeister MD from Springfield, Illinois, together with the Advisory Board of the DGH, we will focus on various subjects such as micro-surgical reconstruction after severe hand injuries and thumb reconstruction, as well as the treatment of malignant tumors of the hand and forearm. Scaphoid fractures and their sequelae, and the distal radioulnar joint problems will be highlighted as well. Abstracts on other subjects may of course be submitted as well.

This year, for the first time, they will organize various instructional courses with renowned hand surgeons from the German and American societies, and they hope this meets with a corresponding interest among participants. The instructional courses will form the framework for the scientific program in the morning and afternoon. The Buck-Gramcko lecture, which the DGH has designated as the Congress and keynote event, will take place on Friday, September 23, 2016.

The 2016 conjoint meeting between the DAH and AAHS promises to be a great program where old colleagues can be reunited and new friendships can be formed all in the spirit of scientific exchange.
