OVERVIEW

23rd Annual Napa Pain Conference (NPC) is organized by Neurovations Education and Napa Pain Institute (NPI) and would be held during Aug 25 - 27, 2016 at The Meritage Resort and Spa, Napa, California, United States of America. The Target Audience for this Medical Event are Physicians, generalist and specialists, including but not limited to: internal medicine, primary care physicians, anesthesiologists, pain management and interventional pain management, emergency medicine, and any physician seeking to better address chronic or acute pain within their patients.


Two sets of learning objectives are provided for the 23rd Napa Pain Conference :

Objectives for CME-certified content
As a result of participating in this activity, learners will be able/better able to :
• Differentiate treatment approaches medical vs. interventional for neuropathic pain,
• Relate what was previously known about the effects of spinal cord stimulation for the treatment of chronic pain with new scientific findings on pain thresholds and sensory perceptions, and the efficacy of high-frequency spinal cord stimulation,
• Overcome patient barriers to treatment for patients who would benefit from including mindfulness-based practices in the treatment of their chronic pain,
• Implement, as necessary, changes to their utilization of opioid therapy for the treatment of chronic pain,
• Evaluate patients who will benefit from regenerative medicine, and be able to refer such patients or prepare to include regenerative medicine within their practice, and
• Compare the use of HF10 therapy to current treatment options.

Objectives for educational, non-CME certified content
As a result of participating in this activity, learners will be able/better able to:
• Identify appropriate candidates for neurostimulation to manage chronic pain,
• Utilize minimally-invasive procedures, such as radiofrequency denervation and cryoanalgesia, as necessary,
• Contrast the risks and benefits of spinal cord stimulation with regards to ongoing patient treatment, and
• Diagnose patients who may benefit from dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation.
