OVERVIEW
10th Annual University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Liver Diseases Symposium is organized by David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and would be held on Oct 29, 2016 at The Westin Pasadena, Pasadena, California, United States Of America.
This symposium will serve as an educational forum for the Southern California physician community for the scientific exchange of information regarding the diagnosis and treatment of the most prevalent liver diseases. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits offering.
Objectives :
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be better able to :
• Discuss the management of patients with hepatitis C
• Explain the medical and surgical options for patients with NASH and the metabolic syndrome
• Describe updates in the medical treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma
• Review the radiologic diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma
• Examine surveillance for hepatocellular carcinoma and the different treatment modalities
• Identify the downstaging modalities in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma being considered for liver transplantation
