This women’s imaging course is designed to reinforce the basic foundations of
conventional abdomino-pelvic imaging, strengthen the concepts of advanced
applications and anticipate what is coming on the horizon. The course will focus
on conditions and complications relative to female anatomy and pathology in both
the gynecologic and reproductive systems.
At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
1. Identify indications for complementary use of different imaging modalities (CT/ MR/ US) for various abdomino-pelvic organs and conditions.
2. Recognize normal anatomy, common pathological conditions and post-operative appearances of the abdomen and pelvis.
3. Implement practical procedures and technical tips for optimizing image quality, as well as potential pitfalls and limitations.
4. Identify markers and indications for routine ob-gyn interventional procedures.
