OVERVIEW

UCSF is pleased to present workshop on Virtual Colonoscopy. This rapidly evolving technology will be explored in a program with individualized, hands-on workstation training and didactic instruction by Dr. Judy Yee, a leader in this imaging modality.

This workshop will present, to both academic and practicing radiologists, the fundamentals and latest techniques of non-invasive colon cancer screening.

At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
1. Perform, interpret and report a virtual colonoscopy exam in a time-efficient manner;
2. Obtain optimal colonic distention and cleansing for a maximally diagnostic virtual colonoscopy;
3. Recognize the appearance of questionable findings and be able to use specific strategies to avoid common and uncommon pitfalls.
