• Identify state of the art in Kidney Transplantation and its effects on donor/recipient pairs.
• Define the recommendations and controversies regarding JNC-8 guidelines for the treatment and management of patients with hypertension.
• Classify the diagnosis and initial management of Nephrolithiasis.
• Describe the pathogenesis, clinical and laboratory manifestations, and management of HIV Nephropathy.
• Explain the physiology and pathophysiology of the Renin-Angiotensin – Aldosterone System (RAAS) in Diabetes and Hypertension.
• Interpret the key components of the RAAS involved in the pathogenesis of Hypertension and of Diabetic Nephropathy. Describe accepted and emerging therapies potentially useful in the treatment of these disorders.
