OVERVIEW
This series of lectures is designed to familiarize participants with issues facing travelers to developing countries, review the clinical aspects of common tropical diseases seen in travelers and to introduce concepts in Global Health. Upon completion of the seminar participants should be able to provide pre-travel evaluation and preparation of a traveler, recognize and manage common diseases acquired by travelers, and identify issues in Global Health. This seminar will be of interest to family practitioners, internists and other physicians and health professionals who provide medical advice and/or health services to travelers.
