OVERVIEW

The focus of the course is the evaluation and treatment of benign anorectal diseases, pilonidal disease and stoma surgery, as well as operative procedures on the abdominal colon including right and left colectomy and Hartmann's procedures.

This unique course combines eLearning with a practical workshop day utilising both animal tissue and cadaveric dissection held in the College’s state-of-the-art education centre. The eLearning component of the course maximises learning opportunities, giving you more time to practise procedures and techniques.

The course is suitable for trainees in general surgery who are in their intermediate years (ST3-5) and seek to deliver the core skills in colorectal surgery as defined by the Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum Programme (ISCP) for ST3-5.
