“Conquer Pain with knowledge, skill and attitude” will be the theme for ISSPCON 2015. Pain Medicine has been making rapid strides in India. As a young upcoming subspeciality, pain medicine will eventually take its rightful place among the various branches of medicine. The challenges that come in this process include increasing awareness about pain medicine, proper training in evidence based practice and formation of practice guidelines specific to the Indian population. The emphasis we need to make on basic research and proper training cannot be overstated. ISSPCON 2015 will provide an excellent opportunity to learn from and interact with the best minds in pain medicine and abroad.
