OVERVIEW
Learning Objectives:
Identify muscles, bursa, tendon and nerves under ultrasound. Relevant anatomy, indications, preparation and injection procedures. Ultrasound guided procedures of the joint, tendon sheath (avoiding the tendon), bursa and cysts and aspirations. Areas of focus include the Shoulder (biceps tendon sheath, subacromial bursa injection, acromioclavicular joint, glenohumeral joint); Knee (intraarticular injection), Hip (intraarticular and trochanteric bursa injections), lumbar medial branches and roots, lumbar facet joint, sacral canal, SIJ. Ultrasound guided peripheral nerve blocks: the median, ulnar, peroneal, ilioinguinal, lateral, femoral cutaneous, intercostal, suprascapular, greater occipital.
Structure of Course: This is structured as a one-day interactive learning experience that will include both didactic and hands on portions. Each participant will have the opportunity to work with each of our faculty members. We will be utilizing "live" models during the learning experience.
