Objectives:

-Describe the patient population at risk for late cardiovascular toxicities from cancer therapies.
-Discuss the mechanisms involved in the development of late cardiovascular toxicity from anthracycline chemotherapy and potential strategies to prevent the development of cardiovascular injury.
-Review recent national and international clinical trial results that have impacted our current standard of care for patients with GI malignancies.
-Identify new chemotherapeutic agents which may impact the outcome of patients with GI malignancies.
-Discuss the rationale and potential risks/benefits of the Oncology Patient-Centered Medical Home (OPCMH) and its role in payment reform in cancer care.
-Establish guidelines and directions for cancer care providers and their care teams to transform their practice/center into an accredited OPCMH.
-Explain optimal therapies for patients with newly diagnosed or recurrent multiple myeloma.
-Discuss the mechanisms, benefits and toxicities of newly approved or emerging chemotherapeutic agents for patients with multiple myeloma.
-Explain the evidence-based management of patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary nodule(s).
-Review new pharmacotherapy options for GI malignancies that have entered the U.S. market.
