The Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National Health System is hosting its 3rd Annual Pediatric Surgical Innovation Symposium, "Children's Need Must Drive Market Speed," a one-day forum bringing together patient advocates, researchers, innovators, regulators, and policy makers to examine and discuss the challenges surrounding the pediatric market and the need for incentives and legislation to stimulate pediatric surgical and device innovation. As part of the symposium, Children’s National is holding a pediatric medical device competition, with $100,000 in prizes, to highlight new generations of medical devices aimed at advancing care for pediatric patients.
