OVERVIEW

This activity is designed for the increased need to recognize and effectively manage vascular diseases. Arterial diseases commonly affect older adults, especially those with cardiovascular risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, tobacco use and hyperlipidemia. Venous thrombosis and chronic venous insufficiency are even more common problems, with disabling and potentially life-threatening complications.

This eighth annual installment of the UC Davis Vascular Center’s Vascular Care series addresses the challenges of managing arterial and venous diseases, with an examination of the evidence upon which practice guidelines have been based.

This year’s conference will provide attendees with evidence based methods and strategies to assist them in providing better treatment options for their patients. Faculty presenting and interacting with participants at this activity have been selected on the basis of their comprehensive clinical experience and academic excellence
