More than 70,000 new brain tumors are diagnosed each year. New advances in surgical and medical options for this difficult patient population have given rise to better and better survival rates. This one-day symposium, designed for primary care physicians, neurologists and general medical oncologists, will review the advances that matter most for their patients who develop brain tumors. Participants will develop an understanding of the best initial management strategies newly diagnosed brain tumors, learn about new surgical approaches and technologies, and learn about novel and investigational treatments that are available for patients with high grade gliomas who have failed standard treatments.
