OVERVIEW

This program brings together leaders in the field of emergency planning to explore the requirements and principles for creating a comprehensive emergency plan for radiological events. Drawing from years of direct experience, faculty members will divulge lessons learned in preparing for, responding to, and communicating about emergencies.

Participants will examine the criteria and requirements for creating a radiation emergency plan and develop the skills necessary to both 1) effectively communicate with the media and public during crisis situations and 2) medically manage casualties of a radiation incident.
