OVERVIEW

The Gordon Research Seminar on Quantum Science is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The Gordon Research Conference on Quantum Science promises to attract researchers from a wide variety of backgrounds including computer science, atomic and molecular physics, condensed matter, quantum optics and biology. A special Gordon Research Seminar will be held on the 1 1/2 days preceding the normal conference and will be designed to provide graduate students and post-docs in the field a comfortable atmosphere to present their work to their peers. This year’s Seminar will focus on the latest implementations of ideas from quantum science ranging from experimental demonstrations of quantum simulators and quantum communication networks to theoretical progress in understanding complex many-body systems through entanglement theory and the links between quantum thermodynamics and quantum error-correction. Participants in the seminar can apply to give either an oral presentation or present a poster. A keynote speaker will also be chosen to give a special lecture.
