OVERVIEW
The purpose of this course is to improve skills and share
strategies for early diagnosis and optimal treatment
of PCDH19 epilepsy. Upon completion of this course
participants will be able to:
• apply seizure management strategies to achieve best long term patient outcomes;
• appropriately include PCDH19 as a potential etiology for a patient’s epilepsy;
• avoid excessive medication in the treatment of PCDH19;
• connect families affected with PCDH19 - related epilepsy to genetic counseling services for families.
