Lip Stabilization - Treating a “Gummy Smile” with the New and Innovative Lip Stat Procedure: A Hands-on Advanced Surgical Course

This course is designed to acquaint the dentist and surgeon with the new and innovative Lip Stabilization Technique (Lip-Stat). A detailed discussion of smile analysis and smile design will be presented. A new classification, diagnosis and management of a “gummy smile” will be discussed in detail. Periodontal procedures performed to correct and alter the soft tissue interface around teeth will be discussed. A step by step demonstration of the Lip Repositioning Procedure to correct a high smile line will be presented. Long-term results of this procedure to correct gummy smiles in patients with vertical maxillary excess, short and hypermobile lip will be presented and discussed in detail. The lecture will be followed by several hands-on soft tissue surgeries on pig heads.
