Implementing the New Statutory Framework for Adult Safeguarding under the Care Act 2014

The Care Act 2014 received Royal Assent and became law on 14th May 2014.
Health and social care professionals will have one year to get up to speed with its provisions before full implementation in 2015.
The Act sets out the first ever statutory framework for adult safeguarding, which stipulates local authorities’ responsibilities, and those with whom they work, to protect adults at risk of abuse or neglect
This conference will look at the implications on the new Care Act on safeguarding practice and what individuals and organisations can do to prepare for the changes.
