OVERVIEW
Join the University of California San Francisco-Fresno Department of Emergency Medicine in Tahoe for the 6th Annual High Sierra Wilderness Medicine Conference.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect and collaborate with top educators and fascinating guest lecturers at this intimate conference. The High Sierra Wilderness Medicine conference is designed to meet the needs of those who
may encounter life-threatening situations with limited resources.
This includes not only emergency physicians,
nurses and PA’s but also internists, family practitioners, backcountry rangers, and members of the search and rescue community.
Through both lectures and skills workshops, we will explore topics including survival and field treatment of environmental illness, rescue techniques,
and lessons learned from medical delivery in austere settings ranging from the Alaskan wilderness to the large Western National Parks.
This course is proudly presented
by the University of California San Francisco-Fresno Wilderness Medicine Program.
