OVERVIEW
This course is intended for practicing Pulmonologists, Intensivists and Thoracic Surgeons, as well as trainees, interested in advancing their understanding of ultrasound and its implementation in the pleural space as well as the mediastinum via endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), interventional bronchoscopy for diagnostics and therapeutics and airway management. The hands on workshops offer ample time to interact with equipment and expert faculty. The workshops will feature various mannequins. Each person will have a full rotation with 1:1 hands-on EBUS experience with one of the experts. After the 30 hands-on slots are filled, participants may register for the lecture-only portion. At the completion of this course, participants should have an improved understanding of the science and application of:
-> Thoracic Ultrasound
-> Ultrasound-Guided Pleural Procedures
-> Endobronchial Ultrasound and Lymph Node staging
-> Advanced Diagnostic Bronchoscopy for peripheral pulmonary lesions
