Cellular Heterogeneity in the Tumor Microenvironment

Tumor blood vessels and the extracellular matrix play a significant role in disease progression; however, a variety of infiltrating immune cells, cancer-associated fibroblasts, and angiogenic endothelial cells play critical functions in sustaining cell proliferation, evading growth suppressors, promoting survival, activating invasion and metastasis, and reprogramming energy metabolism. This meeting will highlight the recent advances made in deciphering the role of adaptive and innate immune cells in the tumor microenvironment, metabolic adaptation, cell interactions within the tumor microenvironment, and translational potential of targeting the tumor microenvironment for therapeutic options.

Each plenary session consists of 20- to -25-minute presentations from the leading experts in the field. Oral presentations of highly rated abstracts will be featured in select plenary sessions. All abstracts submitted by the deadline will be considered. Anyone selected to present an oral presentation will be notified approximately three weeks after the abstract submission deadline. There will be ample networking opportunity during the breakfast, lunch, and poster sessions where attendees will be able to present and discuss their latest research in an informal setting. This highly comprehensive conference will provide a unique forum allowing effective exchange of ideas between basic and translational scientists in order to bridge the gap between discovery and therapy.
