Breast Cancer Management 2014

This program will review the current state-of-the-art in breast cancer diagnosis and management, highlighting the key components of multidisciplinary treatment to include surgery, medical oncology, radiation, radiology, pathology, and psychology. Current understanding of screening, epidemiology and prevention strategies will be discussed.

Emphasis will be given to emerging technologies which improve our ability to provide highly personalized breast cancer management through improved understanding of tumor biology and genetics. Active areas of most promising research and active clinical trials will be discussed. The format of this program will consist of lectures and case studies. Expert faculty will serve on a breast cancer tumor board at the end of each session to interactively discuss the multidisciplinary perspectives on the evaluation and treatment of patients at high risk for breast cancer and those with early stage and advanced disease. Therapeutic interventions with areas of current clinical controversy will be highlighted.
