OVERVIEW
The Gordon Research Seminar on Biomineralization is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
Biomineralization is a highly interdisciplinary field producing some of the most exciting research in biology, chemistry, materials science, geology, medicine and physics. At the core of such disciplines, biomineralization research relies heavily on multidisciplinary techniques and research collaboration. The Biomineralization GRS will bring together researchers with a wide variety of skill sets and diverse perspectives in a vibrant environment to discuss: mineralization processes, regulatory mechanisms, structure, biomechanics, and cutting-edge technological applications for the study and control of biomineralization in natural, pathological and artificial conditions.
