American Association for Thoracic Surgery(AATS) Clinical Trials Methods Course

A key challenge facing cardiothoracic surgeons in their efforts to continually provide excellence in patient care remains translation to bench protocols and comparative effectiveness. One reason for this difficulty has been an insufficient number of investigator-initiated clinical trials requiring skills not part of traditional cardiothoracic curricula.

With the continually evolving nature of clinical trials, the AATS Clinical Trials Methods Course will provide an intensive and interactive training program for cardiothoracic surgeons across all subspecialties to acquire the critical skills to better understand the essential steps in effective clinical trial design and implementation.
