Advances in Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT: 29th Annual Case Review with the Experts

Cardiac imaging is at a crossroads. Technological advances and clinical outcomes evidence have evoked a multimodality approach to use of cardiac imaging, with increasing complexity of image acquisition, interpretation and application. Notwithstanding this established evidence-based foundation that has demonstrated improvements in patient care, cardiac imaging has recently come under scrutiny due to escalating use associated with increased costs. The focus on increased costs of imaging has led to initiatives to reduce unnecessary testing, while encouraging the use of imaging for indications of testing that are considered appropriate.

The Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute is pleased to sponsor, "Advances in Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT: 29th Annual Case Review with the Experts with a 101 Evidence-based Cases", a multidisciplinary medical education program designed to address the need for increasing quality in performing, interpreting, reporting and applying nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT studies. Further, this course will emphasize physician competency and optimal laboratory performance of imaging studies in the areas of coronary artery disease and non-coronary cardiovascular disease. The course focuses on the spectrum of patients routinely seen by the healthcare professional in a typical clinical practice.
