Advances in Dementia Diagnosis, Management, and Research

As our society ages, the aging-associated dementias will be an increasing part of medical practice and a major public health concern. Accurate diagnosis of the dementia subtypes is important for appropriate patient treatment and for counseling both patients and their families. A number of new approaches have been developed to assist with the diagnosis of dementia, and emerging therapies offer hope for improved outcomes in this patient population.
