OVERVIEW

The introduction and advances of innovative diagnostic tech- niques and novel therapeutics has created an exciting range of approaches to many important areas of GI disease and patient care. This program is designed to address those compelling and controversial areas in the care of patients with gastroin- testinal disease. During this course, multiple topics will be covered including GI bleeding, functional bowel disorders, pancreaticobiliary, polypectomy, screening for familial and he- reditary colon cancer, diverticular disease, NAFLD and NASH, IBD, Barrett’s esophagus, celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity, healthcare reform, malpractice issues, quality re- porting, and addressing the latest medico-legal challenges in gastroenterology.
