Identify the role of total ankle arthroplasty in managing degenerative, systemic, or post-traumatic ankle arthritis. Describe conservative management of ankle arthritis Review the indications for total ankle arthroplasty (v. ankle fusion) Differentiate among the surgical approaches for several FDA approved US total ankle arthroplasties. Demonstrate cadaveric implantation of several FDA approved US total ankle arthroplasties. Identify the need for supplementary procedures done commensurate with or in advance of total ankle arthroplasty. Explain the timing of said procedures (one or two stage reconstructions) Identify post-operative management of several FDA approved US total ankle arthroplasties.
